Spring 2012 Track

This spring Sovereign Grace will once again field a track team.

· Team is open to boys and girls in 8th to 12th grade

· Season will begin on February 20th and end on April 28th

· Fee is $30 per participant with a $60 family maximum.  Uniforms cost $35 and are the same ones used during the cross country season.

· Practices will be held at the Brentwood High School track on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:30 to 8:00 am.  Park vehicles at Granny White Park.

· We will train for and compete in the following running events: 400, 800, 1600, and 3200.  We will not have field events (e.g. high jump, pole vault).

Additional Comments on the Meets

 

March Madness at Ravenwood:

 

Buster Relays: Only those running in the 3200 will compete on Friday.  All other races are on Saturday.

 

Scott Hartman Relays: The prelim for all running events except the 1600 and 3200 will be on Tuesday.  Only those that qualify will compete on Thursday.  Those running the 1600 and 3200 will only compete on Thursday.

 

Great Eight Meet: You must qualify for this meet by being in the top eight for your event in middle Tennessee.  Last year three runners from our team qualified.  You can get more information about the meet here.

 

Eastern Relays: The individual running events have qualifying times.  You can see complete details here.
